Wire sculpture of a fairy holding a dandelion
UK sculptor Robin Wight creates dramatic scenes of wind-blown fairies clutching dandelions, clinging to trees, and seemingly suspended in midair, all with densely wrapped forms of stainless steel wire. The artist currently has several pieces on view at the Trentham Gardens.

Paris 'sex toy' sculpture sabotaged at Place Vendome
A huge inflatable sculpture inspired by a sex toy has been sabotaged days after it was installed in Paris. The 24m (80ft) sculpture on Place Vendome in Paris was brought down when supporting cords were cut. Earlier, US artist Paul McCarthy told a French newspaper that he was attacked by a man who said the sculpture had no place being on the street.

Kevin Van Aelst
Artist Kevin Van Aelst was born in Elmira, New York, raised in central Pennsylvania, and is now based in New Haven, Connecticut. He received a B.A. in psychology from Cornell University in 2002 and an M.F.A. in photography from the Hartford Art School in 2005. Kevin has taught photography courses at the Hartford Art School, Middlesex Community College, Quinnipiac University, and currently at the ACES Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven, Connecticut.
