Lions, Eagles and Snow: The Hardest, Most Fun NFL Game I've Ever Shot
On Sunday I covered what was easily the hardest football game I’ve ever been asked to shoot. In turn it was the most fun I’ve ever had on an assignment. The forecast for Sunday called for a “dusting” of snow. About an inch was supposed to fall, starting right around 1pm, the same time as kickoff. It sounded perfect: I’ve always wanted to shoot a game in the snow and we’d get just enough to add some flare to the photos.

I Was An NFL Player Until I Was Fired By Two Cowards And A Bigot
Hello. My name is Chris Kluwe, and for eight years I was the punter for the Minnesota Vikings. In May 2013, the Vikings released me from the team. At the time, quite a few people asked me if I thought it was because of my recent activism for same-sex marriage rights, and I was very careful in how I answered the question.

What if the NFL logos were Hipsters?
Time to take the excellent logos that designers slaved over and tear them a new one. Time to take those sweet perfect icons of million dollar teams and contort them for the sake of a bad joke. Time to destroy what we love. It’s time to redesign the logos once again.

Why Republicans cannot grasp that "Redskins" is offensive
Every once in a while a small controversy comes along that helps explain a big problem. This National Football League season has provided such a controversy. The name of Washington D.C.'s football team, the Redskins, is under fire. "Redskins" is an offensive term and therefore inappropriate for the team representing our nation's capital. That's kind of obvious, right?

Seahawks star Richard Sherman's instant-classic postgame interview with Erin Andrews
After making a fantastic play that led to a NFC championship-winning interception on what could have been a game-winning 49ers touchdown, Richard Sherman ran over to dejected San Francisco wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Like a modern-day Eddie Haskell, the Seahawks corner offered his hand to Crabtree. For some, it would have been a classy move of respect. For Sherman, it was the ultimate in postgame taunting on the biggest stage in sports.

How Marijuana Can Save the NFL
Former All-Pro defensive back Dave Duerson committed suicide in 2011 by shooting himself in the chest. Why choose such a painful and uncertain method of self annihilation? Because he wanted to end his own life, while preserving fully intact a vital piece of evidence. “Please, see that my brain is given to the NFL's brain bank,” he wrote in his suicide note

NFL might eliminate 'boring' extra point
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Monday that the league would consider eliminating pro football's extra point. The extra point - which NFL Total Access's Rich Eisen called the "penny" of the NFL -- is in the cross-hairs because it's boring. The extra point attempt is almost always successful - "almost automatic," Goodell said.
