Silver Comet: A shining star to roller coaster enthusiasts
Martin's Fantasy Island received a big "Fun? Wow!" from a large group of roller coaster aficionados last weekend. The Grand Island amusement park hosted a national conference of members of the American Coaster Enthusiasts, known as ACE, who gave high marks to the park and to its wooden roller coaster, the Silver Comet.

Running on kerosene and using two vectored jet engines, the JB-9 can reach high speeds and altitudes and offers a flight time over 10 minutes, depending on pilot weight.
