Candy Crush maker King enters new territory: sequels
The makers of mobile smash Candy Crush Saga are moving into sequel territory with the release of Bubble Witch Saga 2. Wired.co.uk has the first look. King soft-launched the new title on the Canadian iTunes store on Monday, with an undated global release to follow. It's an unprecedented move for the casual games developer, whose products to date have seen a steady stream of new content released post-launch, rather than specific iterations as gamers see in the 'hardcore' space.

Far Cry 4 Review in Progress
The Himalayan country of Kyrat is a place of myth, faith, secrets, lies, and beauty, and it's one of the best-realized locations I've ever explored in a video game. Kyrat is a colossal, dense, visually diverse place that feels lived in, torn up, and ancient. Far Cry 4 capitalizes on every available strength to make it an amazing open world for first-person action and adventure, while failing repeatedly in creating enjoyable characters within it.

A War Survival Videogame That Shows You the Real Horrors of Fighting
Marko abandoned us. Emilia committed suicide. Katia died after being wounded in a raid. Roman’s not as sick today, but he won’t budge after hearing about Emilia, so we’ll have to keep an eye on him. These are the survivors—my survivors—hunkered in the fictional city of Pogoren, capital of the fictional Republic of Vyseni. It’s all imaginary, a blighted urban made-up-scape, but it could be Sarajevo, or Gaza, or Fallujah, or Ukraine. It could be where you live.

Evolve Launches With $136+ Worth of DLC
Launch-day DLC is no new thing. Personalization packs such as character and weapon skins are par for the course with many games today. But while some games offer just a few extra options at launch, expanding later, Turtle Rock's new title Evolve gives players a veritable feast of add-on content to consume. If you wanted to buy all of the Evolve DLC available right now it would cost you $136, on top of the $60 game or the $25 DLC pass.

‘Sunless Sea’ Is the First Essential Video Game of 2015
Sunless Sea is a supremely original, clever game. Its choice-and-consequence storytelling is deep, textured, and beautifully written, and the constant looming feeling that you might die at any second makes it exhilaratingly tense.

Tembo The Badass Elephant review: Hard to join the trunk club
Tembo comes courtesy of the game makers at Game Freak, who are best known for designing every major Pokemon game. They have a sleeper hit of a platformer under their belts as well: 2006's Drill Dozer for the Game Boy Advance. That should be enough pedigree to get any platforming purist excited, and Tembo doesn't take long to assert its, er, weight as a worthy successor.
