Mads Mikkelsen Would Play Doctor Doom in Upcoming Solo Film

Before he signed up for the role of Kaecilius in Doctor Strange, Mads Mikkelsen had already had his brush with casting for a Marvel Comics-related property. That property was the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot that is largely remembered as a critical flop. Mikkelsen tried out for a role in the film, but quickly realized it wasn’t for him. Now, with films like Doctor Strange and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story under his belt, Mikkelsen has revealed that he would give the Fantastic Four another shot… if he could play Doctor Doom.

‘Bonnie and Clyde,’ Released 50 Years Ago Today, Was a Revolutionary Movie That Now Looks Like the Last Work of Hollywood Classicism

    Fifty years ago today, American movies were born again. That was the day “Bonnie and Clyde,” the lethally disruptive and exciting gangster saga that brought on the implosion of Hollywood — and the reinvention of Hollywood — was released in theaters. The gun-on-the-run magnetism of Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway; the ’30s desolation set to a jaunty bluegrass vibe; the bursts of violence and quick stinging death; the burnished colors;

Ben Affleck has become the subject of shame and mockery after more allegations of groping emerged this week. Affleck, who is about to appear as Batman for the second time in DC's big-budget superhero film Justice League, has been called "Buttman" on social media since make-up artist Annamarie Tendler became the second woman to allege that he touched her.

Marvel’s Unprecedented Growth: Can It Be Stopped?

A year and a half ago I wrote an article just after the Marvel Cinematic Universe reached a worldwide gross of 10 Billion dollars in ticket sales. Captain America: Civil War was the film that pushed the franchise over that incredible milestone, making the MCU the very first series to ever reach $10 Billion dollars. It was also the first series to reach 8 and 9 Billion. And since Civil War, three more films have been released under the MCU umbrella bringing the...

Spoiler Interview | Kevin Feige on Thor: Ragnarok, Beta Ray Bill and More

There’s a pretty big problem with big giant movies like Thor: Ragnarok. Well, okay, if you think about it there are probably a lot of problems but the one that comes to mind today is that it’s pretty hard to talk about them for fear revealing huge spoilers. Lots of people want to see Thor: Ragnarok without any knowledge of what happens in it, and we want to respect that.

Mario and Luigi are heading to the big screen in one of the highest-profile licensing deals by a Hollywood studio in years. Illumination Entertainment, which makes animated films for Comcast Corp.’s Universal Pictures, is close to an agreement with Nintendo Co. to make an animated “Super Mario Bros.” movie based on the 32-year-old videogame series about a pair of sibling plumbers who fight evil turtles and mushrooms in a fantasy kingdom, said people with knowledge of the discussions.

Actually, Adam Sandler Is a Genius

With Noah Baumbach’s The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), Adam Sandler has given another performance which makes you ask: wait, is Adam Sandler actually brilliant? A low-brow comedy ingénue who skyrocketed to blockbuster success with a string of formulaic family comedies, Sandler’s brand eventually turned self-cannibalistic, tedious, and infuriating—yet, remained profitable. In the shadow of the Happy Madison factory, however, is a Wonka-like figure whose abilities are misunderstood.

Quentin Tarantino is developing a Star Trek movie

We live in a very bizarre world, and these days it’s usually scary bizarre instead of just weird bizarre, but entertainment news has finally swung back to weird bizarre with the announcement that Quentin Tarantino is developing a Star Trek movie. This comes from Deadline, which says Tarantino sold Paramount on a “great idea” that he had for a Star Trek movie, and the studio is now assembling a writers room that will try to turn his great idea into an actual movie. Assuming that works out well enough, Tarantino might even stick around to direct.

Critics' Choice nominations vault 'The Shape of Water' into best picture race

The wide-open Oscar race has definitively narrowed in favor of Guillermo del Toro, as one of the most reliable Oscar portents, the Broadcast Film Critics Association, lifts The Shape of Water into the best picture conversation with a staggering 14 nominations. Leading all film nominees by a significant margin, The Shape of Water‘s success with the BFCA also sees lead actress Sally Hawkins picking up her second major notice on the awards trail thus far, just three days after she took the Los Angeles Film Critics Association’s best actress prize.

Bruce Willis to return for Die Hard 6… but with a twist

Because few of us would say no to an enormous suitcase of cash dumped on our front lawn, Bruce Willis will return to the Die Hard franchise for a sixth time, his first since 2013’s A Good Day to Die Hard. Len Wiseman, co-creator of the Underworld franchise and director of 2007’s Die Hard 4.0, has been teasing the film since 2015, when he announced a title, Die Hard: Year One, on Twitter. The film will be partly set in the past, with John McClane depicted as a rookie cop in Seventies New York.

Mark Hamill Interviews Reveal ‘The Last Jedi’ Was Not His Vision Of Luke

Images: A Collection Of Early Alien: Covenant Concept Art From 2014

This is a collection of early Alien: Covenant concept art from 2014, created by concept artist Khang Lee. Back in 2014, the film was still titled Prometheus 2. In September 2015, the title was changed and the direction of the movie shifted to what we eventually saw in the theaters. AVPGalaxy.net was able to confirm that Lee did work in the art department during 2014, with many of these pieces dated 2014. It would appear that this concept art gives us a little bit of an idea of what they were initially planning for Prometheus 2.

The entire history of Black Mirror, as told by its stars

Charlie Brooker said the idea for Black Mirror’s “Be Right Back” was sparked by two things: the first was when was he was trying to clear space on his phone (in the days when you had limited storage) and he came across a contact for a friend who had passed away. He found himself caught in a strange moment of sadness and guilt at having to delete the person’s number off his mobile phone – even though he would never need it again.

Chris Hemsworth Wants to Do More Thor Movies After Avengers 4

BY LAURA PRUDOM Chris Hemsworth has only been playing Marvel's mighty Thor for seven years, but in that short span, he's reprised the character just as many times (or more, if you count director Taika Waititi's hilarious Team Thor short films) -- having just wrapped filming on Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled follow-up, Avengers 4.
