Chick-fil-A owner Jeff Glover hugs an employee. A Chick-fil-A owner recently had to shut down his Austin, Texas, restaurant for five months for renovations. Instead of temporarily laying off his 50 workers, Jeff Glover shocked his staff by continuing to pay them during the entire five months the restaurant would be closed. Glover even gave them a $1-per-hour raise for sticking with him.

Last Known Living 9/11 Search & Rescue Dog Honored With Dream Day
We can't think of a dog who deserves it more. As members of Texas Task Force 1, Bretagne and her mom/handler Denise Corliss had an intense first deployment. They joined nearly 100 other search and rescue dogs to find and save people trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center after 9/11. They’ve had an unshakable bond ever since.

97-year-old Michigan woman receives high school diploma
A 97-year-old woman has received an honorary diploma from a Michigan high school, eight decades after she was forced to drop out to help her family. Margaret Thome Bekema finally was able to don a mortarboard and fulfill her lifelong goal in front of her friends and family on Thursday. School administrators from Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids presented her with the diploma at the Yorkshire and Stonebridge Manor senior community in Walker.

Jamie Foxx Rescues Person From Burning Car
Jamie Foxx saved someone from a burning car last night, but he's staying modest about it. The Oscar-winning actor told reporters on Tuesday that he only did what felt natural. "I'm not a hero," he said, "but had to do something." Foxx, 48, pulled a man -- who was allegedly driving under the influence -- from a burning car last night after an accident took place near his Los Angeles-area home, a member of Foxx's team confirmed to ABC News today. A rep for the actor also confirmed the news.
