Colin Powell: GOP Candidates 'Belittling' The Country And Presidency
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell has a message for the Republican Party: "We have to become more respectful of each other." Speaking on the death of former first lady Nancy Reagan, Powell said he believed she would be "disturbed" by the way her husband's legacy is invoked by some people today. Powell spoke in an interview with NPR's Michel Martin on All Things Considered. Referring to the "civility" and "lack of any nastiness" he saw in Ronald Reagan...

You may hate Donald Trump. But do you want Facebook to rig the election against him?
While the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency is a terrifying one, perhaps this is scarier: Facebook could use its unprecedented powers to tilt the 2016 presidential election away from him – and the social network’s employees have apparently openly discussed whether they should do so. As Gizmodo reported on Friday, “Last month, some Facebook employees used a company poll to ask [Facebook founder Mark] Zuckerberg whether the company should try ‘to help prevent President Trump in 2017’.”

Britain’s vote for freedom proves power is with the people
As the Brexit results poured in, I caught myself humming a tune from Broadway’s “Hamilton.” The song follows the decisive Battle of Yorktown in 1781, after which the Redcoats surrender and America is free. It’s called a drinking song, and there’s not much to it except these words: “The world turned upside down.” It certainly has. The world is also coming full circle because now it’s the Brits who are free. It took them a while, but they finally had their own Tea Party and their own revolution.

Can Europe expect its first far-right head of state? Austria to hold do-over election
Austria’s Constitutional Court has ruled that the presidential run-off election must be held again. Anti-immigration Freedom Party candidate Norbert Hofer – seen here on the left – was narrowly defeated in May by former Greens leader-turned-independent Alexander Van der Bellen. UN council: Seriously, nations, stop switching off the damn internet
The United Nations officially condemned the practice of countries shutting down access to the internet at a meeting of the Human Rights Council on Friday. A resolution entitled The promotion, protection and enjoyment of human rights on the Internet effectively extends human rights held offline to the internet. It was passed by consensus, but only after a determined effort by a number of countries, including China and Russia, to pull out key parts of the text.

The Icelandic Pirate Party and the Search for a New Democracy
Inside a modernist warehouse alongside the ocean in Reykjavík, Iceland’s capital city, four men sit around a table discussing the country’s drug policies. A skull-and-crossbones flag adorns the wall and a cheap blow-up sword hangs over one door frame. Though they aren’t wearing eyepatches or hunting for treasure, these Icelanders call themselves Pirates, and they are drafting policy for a new, insurgent political party, the Pirate Party. By Adam Eichen and Gabriel Dunsmith.

How American Politics Went Insane
It’s 2020, four years from now. The campaign is under way to succeed the president, who is retiring after a single wretched term. Voters are angrier than ever—at politicians, at compromisers, at the establishment. Congress and the White House seem incapable of working together on anything, even when their interests align. With lawmaking at a standstill, the president’s use of executive orders and regulatory discretion has reached a level that Congress views as dictatorial—not that Congress can do anything about it, except file lawsuits that the divided Supreme Court, its three vacancies unfilled, has been unable to resolve.

Giving the Thumbs Down on the Democratic Platform
The Democratic Platform Committee concluded its business after two days with claims of having established unity. But the unity myth is clearly exposed by the role of Ambassador Wendy Sherman in aggressively maintaining the party line votes of the Clinton delegation and the near revolts by the Sanders contingent in the wake of two questionable amendments this weekend. By Charlie Grapski. (July 12, 2016)

Well, 184 is only the upper estimate considering election fraud. Not even counting in the immense MSM bias, lack of debates, DNC bias/shenenigans outside of fraud, Hillarys huge funding thanks to corruption… It should have been a landslide for Bernie!
