'Homestar Runner' creator says he's bringing his internet cartoon back soon
Fans of Homestar Runner, take heart: the seminal internet cartoon that found a major audience in the 2000s is primed for a full comeback. Co-creator Matt Chapman was just interviewed by Jeff Rubin and announced that he and his brother Mike are bringing the cartoon back following a successful April Fool's Day cartoon — the first new content posted to the site in over three years.

FXX Plans 'Simpsons' Full Series Marathon, Launches 'Simpsons World' Digital Experience
The marathon kicks off at 10 a.m. on Aug. 21 and will run 24 hours a day on FXX until 12 a.m. on Sept. 1. 'The Simpsons' Marathon More Than Triples Primetime Audience for FXX
FXX scored solid ratings in primetime Thursday with its “The Simpsons” marathon, more than tripling the network’s usual audience and contributing to the nascent channel’s most-watched day ever. According to Nielsen estimates, the six half-hours of “The Simpsons” averaged a 0.49 rating in adults 18-49 and 1.01 million viewers overall. The demo score was good enough for a fifth-place primetime finish for FXX — ahead of parent network FX as well as cable biggies including TNT and USA.

Belgian paper that ran Charlie cartoons evacuated after threat
The offices of a Belgian newspaper that republished cartoons from the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo were evacuated on Sunday after receiving an anonymous bomb threat, its staff said. The evacuation of Le Soir, a French-language daily, came as thousands of people marched through Brussels in solidarity with France following Islamist attacks on Charlie Hebdo and other sites.

Disney XD To Reboot 'Ducktales' Animated Series For 2017 Launch
Disney XD is revisiting Ducktales. The network said today that it has ordered a new animated comedy series based on the Emmy-winning series that aired from 1987-1990 as part of The Disney Afternoon daily syndicated cartoon block. The new series is slated to launch in 2017. Produced by Disney Television Animation, Ducktales will again star Disney’s iconic characters Scrooge McDuck, his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, and Donald Duck.
