BMW shows off mirrorless i8 concept car at CES
BMW showed off a concept car Wednesday that has no mirrors. The rear-view and side-view mirrors in the i8 are replaced by three cameras and a special screen to show drivers what's behind and around their cars. The i8 concept car was unveiled during the CES in Las Vegas. Two of the cameras are on the exterior of the car where side mirrors are normally located. But the struts that hold the cameras are significantly slimmer than existing designs.

Two BMW technicians cost the car manufacturer 'nearly £1m'
Luxury carmaker BMW is counting the cost of a drugs bender by two technicians whose breaktime marijuana binge stopped production when they collapsed on the assembly line. The incident happened on March 3 but has only just come to light in Germany. Media reports said the two men - both fitters - cost the company close to £1million in lost production when they passed out at the Munich plant.

BMW Denies Colluding With Other Automakers on Emissions
Following a report last week that German automakers have been colluding on diesel technology, including fixing the size of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tanks, since the 1990s, BMW said in a statement that it “categorically rejects accusations that Euro 6 diesel vehicles sold by the company do not provide adequate exhaust gas treatment due to AdBlue tanks that are too small.”
