Worker Killed at One of Amazon’s New Jersey Warehouses
A man working at one of Amazon’s new warehouses was killed two weeks ago after being crushed by a piece of equipment, according to the Department of Labor. The accident occurred on Dec. 4 at an Amazon fulfillment center in Avenel, N.J., according to an incident report on the website of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Amazon sold 426 items per second in run-up to Christmas
Just like last year, Amazon is reporting that the 2013 shopping season was its biggest yet, not just in terms of its sales, but also with its services. The company announced today that on Cyber Monday alone, more than 36.8 million items were ordered worldwide, up from last year's 26.5 million items — that's about 426 items purchased per second. Amazon Prime broke records as well, gaining more than 1 million new members in the third week of December.

Bruce Springsteen’s new album leaked early on Amazon
Fans of the New Jersey legend were able to download each song on ‘High Hopes’ individually as an MP3 a day before yesterday (December 28) via Amazon’s mobile website. The album was originally not due for release until January 13. Amazon has since spotted the error but many file sharers have already got copies of the album and it is now widely available to be downloaded illegally, according to Billboard.
