Sochi looks woefully snowless as Winter Olympics draw near

This reminds me of the games 4 years ago in whistler where helicopters were forced to transfer snow from the mountains nearby. This looks a lot worse though.
No, Whistler was fine, it was Cypress mountain that was short. That mountain is really close to Vancouver which is typically mild in the winter.
FYI these are from the town of Sochi, not up in the mountains (where most of the events are taking place)
