He should define shithole. There may be a few in his own backyard that people would like to fix.
I don't think he really cares about helping anyone but himself and lining his pockets.
I just read that this is the first time the Washington Post has used a curse word in a headline since being founded in 1877. If true, that's pretty crazy!

It doesn’t help the Haitian plight when their citizenry leaves the country instead of building up their own nation. If not, why did they fight for independence?
A part of being independent is having choices, the more the better, instead of being told otherwise and at the same time belittled and marginalized.
I don't follow the logic of being offended by someone stating the obvious. Calling the country they left a shit hole is only confirming they made the right decision to leave and that we made the right decision to let them in. Why should American taxpayers take on the burden of refugees from a country that isn't horrible? As the old adage goes, beggars can't be choosers.
Would you get upset if I walked up to a not-so-attractive person and out in public started to belittle them for their below average looks? Personally, I think certain things should be approached with a level of respect and diplomacy, no?
