This has been going on for years. There are a multitude of problems as to why birds get dumped,one of the biggest being the simple fact that they are not domesticated and they imprint on humans because they are hand raised. I posted a docu' on this problem here when i first joined up that aired on PBS..it was a far cry from the cutesy one they did years ago called:"Look whose Talking." It really shows the problems both owners and captive parrots face. it's not a pretty picture by any stretch of the imagination.
