People who drink diet sodas daily have three times the risk of stroke and dementia compared to people who drink one less than once a week.
It's 2017, information is so widely accessible to pretty much anyone that wishes to seek it out. Who the hell still drinks daily soda?
"Linked to," "associated with" and the like simply aren't proof of causation. As much intuitive sense as it makes that things like aspartame would have adverse health effects, there simply no evidence. It's not like nobody's been looking.
People assume it's true; I once did; there's no there there. Supposition, sure. Correlation, whatever.
Let me know if you find anything substantial at all. Meanwhile, I'll keep an open mind and keep reading blips like this, but it's not going to keep me from enjoying a cool, refreshing beverage on a hot day.
