Nintendo is struggling. The most recent blow to the company came this month with news of a "steep downward revision" to the company's year end financial forecast. In other words, Nintendo sold a lot less, and made a lot less, than they originally thought they would in the past year.

They are competing with graphics and gameplay that people would gladly pay extra money for. If Nintendo were to kick up their graphic but keep the same game selection, they would be top dog. Until then, it will be Sony and Microsoft all the way.
