New Samsung chips could lead to smartphones with 384GB of storage
Future smartphones are about to get a lot more storage thanks to Samsung, which announced this week that it has started mass-producing “the industry’s first three-dimensional (3D) Vertical NAND (V-NAND) flash memory, which breaks through the current scaling limit for existing NAND flash technology.”

It's about damn time. I'm sick of everything getting better except the storage. 32 and 64 GIG is so last decade.
I had a 64 gig ipod in like 2006 or 2007.
Yeah that's a bit different though. My first mp3 player was only 5 gigs in size, which was still a ton for it's time. But it was also clunky (bigger than a cd player) because the hard drive was more than just a chip like they are today. I could actually hear it spinning when the song was changing.
