They should have used this. The extended theme music is great for a nice build up before each episode.
I prefer the short one ... Straight to the point and no wasting time.
The short one is great if you're watching episodes back to back, but I like the long one because it gets you in the mood. Then again if you're watching stuff back to back, I'm sure you can just fast forward through it in like 2-3 sec.
