I think these benchmarks are only relevant in one way: they tell us that no performance degradation was observed after upgrade. That in itself is good news.

They tell us nothing about performance improvements, though. It seems that with every new AAA game being released, AMD and Nvidia shortly release an updated driver version, to accommodate for that game's peculiarities. Similarly, we need to wait for newer drivers to judge overall performance with a given OS.

You're right that there is a larger issue here. But you are missing the fact that this issue is more prevalent with groups whose abuse the police* feels will raise less questions.

* I should write "those bad members of the police force" rather than "the police" which is a broad statement.

So, their legal counsel cast a dissenting vote. I guess lawsuits will keep her employed...
