Disgraced former cyclist Lance Armstrong has told the BBC he will testify with "100% transparency and honesty" at any future inquiry into doping.

He did it because he knew he was going on the chopping block, decided to act preemptively to save face. I doubt he would have ever confessed if he knew this could be kept under wraps. Even though it may not look like it, this was totally self serving, maybe he thought the outcome would be different.
