Lawyers will get millions, the people affected will get a Starbucks coupon

Edit: And 3 years of free credit monitoring.

While your whole statement is true when it comes to class action suits, the edit is the most glaring. Equifax is a company that takes in billions every year, they collect all of your records and you have no right to stop them because of their status as a national credit monitor. If there were real rights here we could demand Equifax no longer handle our information at all, that the US no longer allow them to be allowed to use our social security numbers, but no, they'll take a small slap and keep on, again.

WARNING: Turns out checking to see if you are affected and/or signing up for the credit monitoring you waive all rights to sue and are forced into binding arbitration.

Edit: They did update the site with this...

2). NO WAIVER OF RIGHTS FOR THIS CYBER SECURITY INCIDENT In response to consumer inquiries, we have made it clear that the arbitration clause and class action waiver included in the Equifax and TrustedID Premier terms of use does not apply to this cybersecurity incident.
