    Those sensors track tissue movement and use the signals the nervous system, would normally send to the heart to regulate pulse. I love technology! I wish it could be more accessible and cheaper right now.

    Indeed, simply applying what one learned in school will become obsolete as machines will be able to do that better than any person ever could. However, the entrenched systems will be slow to adopt many of the coming changes. There are too many people in power that have too much of a vested interest in keeping the current system going.
