And no one will stop him...
Colbert is a genuinely gifted multi-talent, with an uncanny tragicomedic ability to satirize the partisan dogma of the political pundit. In character as almost a court jester at an imperial royal court, he panders perfectly and shamelessly to the truthiness of his audience's expectations. One can pick up immediately from his shtick, on any given night, which way the wind is blowing with society's most smug, sneering, and greediest bigots, influence peddlers, warmongers, profiteers, and war criminals. In eerily the same terms as we'd hear from the media toadies, lackeys, and chief assistant sub-flunkies that narrate for them. Oh, and he also used to do so knowingly.
It's never a good sign when someone you used to respect becomes friends, and literal dance partners, with Kissinger.
