More than a quarter century ago, Universal released a revolutionary arcade game called Space Panic in which players had to navigate platforms, climb ladders and avoid moving obstacles in order to progress. By most accounts, Space Panic was the first of what would become the "platformer" genre.

The other day I watched a documentary called Indie Game: The Movie, for those of you who are on US Netflixs, its available to stream. Really enjoyed it, as I love playing platformers!
Steam alone has brought back the platformer genre and it's great because the prices are low, and indie publishers actually stand a chance.
