Super Bowl 2013, 49ers vs. Ravens. Date, Time, Location, Odds And More

The AFC and NFC Championship games are over as the Ravens and the 49ers have advanced to Super Bowl XLVII. Here are all the details.

  • Shortly after the 49ers surprised nobody by coming back and defeating the Falcons in the Georgia Dome to advance to Super Bowl XLVII, the Ravens surprised quite a few by dominating the Patriots in the second half of the AFC Championship game in Foxborough to seal their spot in the Super Bowl as well.

The Super Bowl, the most watched event on television year-in-and-year-out, is set to be the Harbaugh Bowl this year as two brothers, John and Jim Harbaugh, are set to coach against each other for all the marbles. John, the coach of the Ravens, took them to a 10-6 record in the regular season, which won the AFC North. The Ravens then hosted the Colts in the wildcard round, winning 24-9, then they went to Denver and beat the Broncos in the divisional round by a score of 38-35, before finally defeating the Patriots in the AFC Championship game by a score of 28-13.

The Niners, coached by the younger Harbaugh, Jim, went 11-4-1 in the regular season, earning a first-round bye in the playoffs. They defeated the Green Bay Packers at home by a score of 45-31 in the divisional round and then beat the Falcons by a score of 28-24 in the NFC Championship game to advance to the their sixth Super Bowl.
