Okay, so I know some of you are asking why a song from the '70s is being featured on a community dedicated to the 1980s. On August 1st, 1981 a new cable channel was broadcast for the first time. It was a channel dedicated to music, and more importantly, to a relatively ignored practice at the time, music videos. The channel's focus was solidified in its name: Music Television or, as the world would quickly come to know it, Mtv!
