I'm slightly worried that everyone is distracted by the awesomeness of the photo and no one is concerned that this is the first step in the ants' plan to assert technological dominance over the rest of the world.

You make a good point. Last thing we need is trillions of genetically modified super ants with nano-bot technology!

As someone who suffered many ant bites as a child I can only imagine what sorts of nefarious entities are lying dormant in my bloodstream, waiting to be called into action.

Why are the edges of the microchip slightly bent?

It is pretty incredible how small we can make microchips.

Absolutely insane how tiny those lines on the microchip are.
