My heart beats a little faster when walking through the 'old section' of Toronto's Union Station - these pics have always made my heart both sing and cry out for what has been lost.

I'm currently working two jobs with some extracurriculars on the weekend (mostly fun stuff like crafts). Coupled with a house renovation, future wedding (small, non-stressful), and bad work environments I'm running on an average of 4 hours sleep a day for the past 3 years.

I'm desperately applying for jobs that will be able to give me a 40 hour work week and time to rest, because it's killing me.

I watch videos like this and I'm wowed for the first 10 seconds, and then my medical background starts nagging me.

"He has absolutely no protection on his arms or lower legs. If he wipes out - that'll be painful at the least. Skin grafts, scrubbing the gravel out of the wounds. Possible fractures. Months in hospital, rehab. If he survives."

"At least he had fun, I guess?"

    Nature is breathtaking.

I think I've seen everything she's got, and then I'm shown something like this. Stunning.

Keep going! You're so close! I know the frustration - it took me two years to finish my queen size granny square blanket. But this looks fantastic - the pattern and it's colors just works well.

Is this for someone special, a commission, or yourself?

I love making doilies like this. Such a nice way to snazzy up living quarters and protect your tabletops.

I'm assuming you've finished your tail end? The way it's just dangling there is making my eye twitch. ;)

Growing up on the farm, we saw all manner of wildlife - small birds, crows, owls, hawks, vultures, foxes, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, coyotes, deer, pheasants, turkeys, just to name a few.

So when I moved to a relatively urban area, I thought I'd lose a lot of wildlife interaction. I went to turn into my driveway at dusk one night, and there in my driveway was a coyote. Skittered away pretty quick but it was a bit shocking to see a creature I normally only saw in the back woods or around the barns in the middle of town.

One day. One day I will visit England and visit EVERY SINGLE country estate and house and castle open to the public, as well as museums and old villages. THIS is the architecture that stirs my soul, not the modern glass and concrete of today.

That's so neat. I'm familiar with the Victorians forcing plants in the dark so that they grow quicker and less bitter than their traditional counterparts, but underwater gardening is like something out of a sci fi novel!

I wonder if it would be affected by weather at all. Undercurrents and all that.

Even so, to have the wheel cranked that severely is a little much.

On a related note, I love seeing footage of non- North American cars. Just so different and fun-looking - here it's a sea of black, grey, and beige (sorry, "champagne") colored clones. Even our reds and blues are subdued. I know there is only the yellow one in this vid, but watching others it seems Euro cars have more character.

    Hi there!

Just as a FYI, you can cross post into multiple tribes at once - no need to post multiple times for different tribes. Part of the learning curve, but I thought I'd let you know! :)
