Well, to be honest, if you wager that the government is going to screw up, that's an easy bet to win. I don't think there was any doubt about this, but it's good to have some proof to rub on their face.

And yes, all that politicians want is to get richer and more powerful. If they didn't, they wouldn't be seeking positions of power.
