    Sling

Sometimes it's called Sling. Sometimes it's called Dish. Sling is Dish Network's "cord-cutter" boutique brand.

When Sling TV started, it offered only 20 channels.

When what became Sling first started, it brought fifty ethnic and international channels to Roku, hoping to reach customers that for whatever reason can't get sat service.

Best of all, unlike cable and satellite bundles, you can pick and choose from small packages of channels.

Well, to moderate the hyperbole in this claim, you're still choosing one or two monolithic channel packs and potentially several other packages as well. This is not un-bundling channels individually, though it is a knowing glimpse, furtively stolen, in the direction of positioning things as if they were un-bundling.

This way you'll see only what you want rather than having to deal with a dozen bloatware channels for every one you actually want to watch.

    YMMSV.

There are now 29 Sling Orange channels.

    There's an off-by-one error somewhere. I only count 28.

With a free seven-day entry offer, I think you’ll soon be bidding your cable or satellite provider goodbye.

You say goodbye, I say hello!
