Be kind, rewind: Blockbuster stores kept open in Alaska
“I can’t tell you how many business cards I’ve given out to people ‘cause they literally do not believe that I’m from Blockbuster,” said Kevin Daymude. He’s the manager of a Blockbuster Video outlet in Anchorage, Alaska. The new releases are new, and the candy is fresh, but it feels like a place from another era.

The good news for this guy is that the astronomical cost of running line is at least doubled in Alaska so he doesn't have to worry so much about gigabit speeds killing him off quickly like it did in the lower 48. I miss going to the video store, it was a different experience, I don't miss late fee's and needing to get dressed to go get a movie though.
