This is the highway you will be driving on in 20 years
Imagine driving on the highway in your self-driving car. You are reading emails on your phone while your car suddenly slows down. You look out the window, and ”Warning! Rockslide in 1,000 feet” is written in LED lights on the road. The connected cars immediately change lane as the LED lane markings changes. I really want to believe but it'll probably look more like this.
Actually if global warming continues accelerating the way it is, in 20 years the road is more likely to look like this.

Well at least they waited till I was done reading before they slapped a "Get our newsletter!" message in my face. Anyway,I agree with NomadiChris about how highways will look,at least in the USA.

So true...I feel it's all just a gentle down slide from here on out. The cockroaches must be cackling with glee at our slow demise.
Considering the road construction that has been going on for the last ten years in my area, they would have to have already started building these highways to be able to drive on them in 20 years.
