Netflix cracks down on VPN and Proxy "Pirates"
Netflix is starting to block subscribers who access its service using VPN services and other tools that bypass geolocation restrictions. The changes, which may also affect legitimate users, have been requested by the movie studios who want full control over what people can see in their respective countries.

Before everyone get all pissed at Netflix, let's re-read this paragraph
It's not Netflix causing this issue. It's the RIAA and associated ilk limiting choices. They did it with DVD Regions and are forcing Netflix to limit choices to streaming customers as well.
Netflix don't care. It makes money from subscribers, no matter where in the world they happen to be.
They will lose customers because of this. The ones that live outside of the US that can't otherwise get it.

Exactly! No one in their right mind is going to pay the same amount of hard earned cash for 1/10th of the library. I can see a lot of people cancelling their "legitimate" subscriptions and then resorting to piracy to download what they cannot get otherwise, this whole location based digital rights management is discriminating and should be stopped. Yet another idiotic concept that only PROMOTES piracy.
And this is how netflix goes up in flames.
