Sears isn't in enough financial trouble that they are ready for the impending boycott from Trump supporters?

Though to be fair, the last thing I bought at sears was a lawnmower. 15 years ago.

Or maybe the loss due to those boycotting Trump is larger than a potential boycott from Trump supporters.

Not sure that people boycotting Trump were going to boycott any place that simply sold the line.

Businesses taking a public political stance either way in today's environment is insane. Shut the hell up and just sell your stuff or piss off half of your potential customers, and watch your business crash and burns.

Not that Sears/Kmart wasn't already on fire.

Sears is run like an Objectivist dystopia out of The Lord of the Flies. Day-to-day operations are like a gang fight with chains and knives. The idea that Sears makes business decisions based on paying adequate tribute to a spray-tanned American Caligula is ridiculous. If Sears can't make a dime on it, they won't. If they thought they could, they would've. If there's more to it than that, this Rome's fall is nearer than we think.
