Walked through a cemetery unexpectedly during my lunch break yesterday. It was peaceful, and truly a resting place. We simply don't exist anymore when we die, and there's nothing wrong with that. Pain is for the living. One who has accepted the finality of death strives to better his/her present-day reality according to his/her true values instead of the fear of being punished after life.

I actually never had any issues with Windows Defender/Microsoft Security Essentials. The only time one runs a serious risk of being infected is when pirating, and even then, you can usually get a heads up from initial downloaders who have detected viruses/spyware themselves and leave warnings in threads/comment sections.

For what it's worth, I think that uBlock Origin is better than AdBlock Plus these days, due to AdBlock Plus being heavy on memory and allowing some "nice" ads to show anyways. I don't use NoScript since I don't often visit sites that use JavaScript maliciously. LastPass I'm wary of, since the software is proprietary; I prefer KeepassX since it's light, multi-platform and open-source.

Heh, I actually started using Emacs in the last couple of months. (I was born in 1990, so I grew up with Eclipse, Notepad++, Sublime Text, Intellij...) It makes the 4GB Windows machine I have to use at work so much more bearable. No more 50 instances of Explorer open at the same time!

I find that it's still so much easier to develop Java in Eclipse however; the auto-completion, wizard-generated code and the ability to run the project on a local Tomcat instance with a couple of clicks, for example. But Emacs is quickly taking over any project that involves dynamically typed programming languages or of course extensive tinkering with configuration files.

Hm, someone already said Google. I guess the runner-up would be Wikipedia (created in January of 2001).

Everyone getting sick of text messaging and social networks, culminating in everyone returning to calling each other and meeting up in person.

Nexus 7. Never owned a tablet before the Surface Pro 2 I previously owned. I sold the Surface Pro 2 due to a growing aversion of Windows and the fear that I'd not be able to fetch a good price for it once the Surface Pro 4 came out.

The Nexus 7 is a bit small for eBook reading but it's still quite a good tablet as well for light media consumption and battery life. No complaints here.
