Google will start warning web users about deceptive download buttons
Google will start telling web users when they encounter deceptive sites that may try to trick them with misleading ads, the company announced in a blog post today. Don't know how well it'd work, but if your trying to download things without an ad blocker then your probably doing it wrong
I'm hoping this triggers on main sites that are serving malware ads. That might put some pressure on the ad networks to clean up their act.
My folks have to get their laptops reformatted almost monthly these days.
