    I did the same thing! Haha.

    This is a great move by Canonical. Sucks for those of us looking forward to Ubuntu for phones but otherwise- Unity was a massive weight holding this giant down. I wholeheartedly believe Unity was the reason Linux Mint overtook it in popularity.

      I agree that this was a very smart decision.

      I really wanted an Ubuntu tablet and was waiting for them to up the ram on the next one... Now I see there won't be a "next one".

      I tried Unity and I hated it. And I agree with you that they shot themselves in the foot with not only Unity,but the convergence pipe dream. While I liked the convergence idea,they just don't have the big bucks to make it happen. That being said,I also think Unity jump started Mint big time. Right now I'm using UbuntuMATE and will be waiting to see what they do with Gnome. It might be quite interesting!
