The worst I had was a tiny Korean girl living above me. It never made me mad or anything (I'm a very heavy sleeper) but I was just completely mystified by the sounds from above. It seriously sounded like she rearranged her apartment every day. The other common disturbing noise sounded roughly like someone playing DDR-- at least that was our best guess. She had to have been playing with weights on our something though because there is no way that little 90lb lady could dance and stomp paintings right off the walls like that by herself.

Would love to have them as another state! The only problem is that they would at least initially be one of the "takers" of federal funds instead of one of the givers. But that's not a big deal long term. What does bother me is 51 stars. Can we make it a one off one on system? Maybe vote out Mississippi or New Jersey or something? Haha

Me too! Especially in the context of needing a new planet because of pollution. If carbon in the air is our biggest problem on Earth, going to Mars is really stupid. We could build all the same life support things here that we could on Mars but we wouldn't have to worry about radiation and the affects of low gravity.

I actually really like how you're somewhat limited in what you can do if your level is too and how you can level up with a lot of community support. It just seems like a really good system for the community to regulate what kind of content gets seen.

It's tough that Obama didn't deal with this the way I hoped he would. But I don't know what's worse between the possible reasons for this: 1) He is an actual corrupt supporter of a large security apparatus that seeks to document that behaviors and movement of its citizens . 2) That he is just incompetent enough to have been mislead by people into believing that everything they're doing is perfectly conscionable to the average person (or they know no one will do anything) or 3) that the security apparatus of our military industrial complex is no longer answerable to any elected part of our government.

This map is just weirdly inconsistent. Chinese being listed as a macrolanguage seems okay with a little explanation (though it still makes me cringe to see Cantonese, Wu, and Mandarin under one big bubble--) but then why is Arabic not also listed as a macrolanguage with its respective varieties listed and given populations? Because no PRC government? And if we're going to go the route of depicting macrolanguages, why not depict the Romance languages together? --France, Italy and Spain have similar sovereignty as members of the EU as Hong Kong does in the PRC, you could even argue that they politically have less sovereignty than Taiwan. On top of that, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, Galician, and many others are as comparably mutually intelligible as the "dialects and languages" of a Chinese macrolanguage.
