    My grandmother used to tell us something along this thinking, although hers was about taste. We would go to one of those buy an empty bucket and pick until it's full places and go back to her house and she would separate them into tupperware containers and stick them in her garage freezer, because if you don't eat them the day you pick them they start to lose good flavor, when you freeze them and thaw them out they taste almost like fresh off the bush.

    What I get from the article is that I should start buying the Frozen berries and copying my grandmother by putting them in single serving containers to eat later, thaw them overnight.

      That's what my dad does, and put's it on his cereal in the morning.
