What leads to a poor attitude towards work is witnessing 30 or 40 years of stagnant wages, with all income growth going to the top 1%. Absolutely NO loyalty to workers from companies who ship jobs overseas, while they expect 60 hour work weeks from their remaining employees, if they even have full time employees rather than temps. What do you expect from people when they see they are treated like disposable trash?

As an employer of college aged students, I have to agree and disagree with this. There are some bad apples out there, but the majority of my employees are responsible and motivated. One thing I've found to be true is that this group thrives of healthy social relationships among coworkers. Those who are connected with the social aspects of the job thrive more than those who isolate themselves.
